Please do your research and do not entrust Wheeler and Smith Mortuary with your loved ones. I recently attended a service for my young friend and I was so distraught about her appearance. She looked nothing like I had envisioned. Her makeup and hair was absolutely horrible. I did the best I could in the 5 mins I had to make her appear more presentable. I would never have my loved ones in the care of Wheeler and Smith Mortuary

Do not trust your loved ones in the care of Wheeler and Smith Mortuary. I recently attended a service for my friend and I was saddened to see how the service was handled. The mother was already extremely distraught and was trying to pull it together for family and friends on a difficult day only to be hit with several inconveniences on the day of the service. Her daughter's makeup was no where near how she envisioned it to be, even with providing all her daughters makeup, it was all wrong. It's as if they used someone else's makeup. The deceased wore very natural makeup so very little should have been needed, but the deceased was several shades darker than her natural coloring at the service. Her hair was not even done. It seemed like the mortuary just sprayed her with hairspray and called it good. The outfit that the mother desired the deceased to wear wasn't even allowed. The mother came up with another sentimental outfit that she requested back VERBALLY several times. The service day comes and the funeral hall was unable to get the slideshow that the mother made to work. Several attendees offered to go get the proper cord needed, but they were told by the IT guy that nothing was going to work because they needed a password. What password ??? Well never know because the IT guy offered little to no help. The service comes to an end and the mother was.gokng to let everything go because why bother..... Well no! She goes to pick up.her daughters final belongings and it wasn't until then that she was told her daughter's final clothing were cremated with her. When asked Hunter simply told her I assumed this is what you wanted. Never ever use Wheeler and Smith Mortuary!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! If I could give a 0 star review I absolutely would! They were rude and insensitive during the memorial of my beloved best friend. We had a slideshow prepared to show but when arriving we were told “no” because we did not have our own USB/HDMI cord, which would have been fine IF they would’ve told us before and NOT THE HOUR OF THE SERVICE! On top of that, the whole service felt rushed, when those were booked accordingly!! When asking one of the staff members to take a group photo, they had been rude with an unwilling attitude when this was LITERALLY THE LAST TIME BEING IN THE SAME ROOM with my beautiful friend. The family and I did not feel welcomed or valued AT ALL! And to add to the cherry on top.. my friend’s mother was asked to bring in her daughter’s personal make-up, she had bought a set of false lashes for this very special day.. they did not even bother to put them on her nor did they bother to curl and put mascara AS THE BARE MINIMUM!!
