Intake Woman was a bit too Jolly, Smiley and Giggly for such a sad event. Felt very uncomfortable and was told Cremains would be ready in about 5 days. I returned and was greeted at the door by the same happy, bubbly woman who acted like I was a nobody, stranger and had never seen me before. Perhaps it was because I didn't spend tens of thousands of dollars but rather the decedent's wishes were just cremation so cost much less. Since my loved one passed away at a San Luis Obispo Hospital I was told I had no choice but to have the body sent to Reis, then when asking Reis if I could have the body sent to the Mortuary of my choice I was quoted a very high "price" to do so. Perhaps the Staff could benefit from some training on how to be more understanding that death is not a happy occasion and could be a bit more understanding and compassionate to the Families who have lost a loved one.

Absolutely incredible people. I am literally in tears because Wendy went so above and beyond to help me. The VA is being a pain about getting paperwork done on my father's passing and she decided, on her own, to take the paperwork to his dr personally, ON HER LUNCH BREAK. I am speechless and overwhelmed with gratitude.

I had the pleasure of working with Reis Family Mortuary with my mother in laws passing. We were new at dealing with the loss of a family member and they made the process easy and answered the endless questions we kept calling back about. Our funeral director Emily was very kind and courteous and advised me on how the process works, beyond their own responsibilities even. We got stuck needing their paperwork to release funds from the bank and they were very accommodating in this process. I was surprised at how much they helped. All the receptionist were professional and courteous. I did call right at opening a few times and they were polite and answered all questions. Thank you all so much for all the help and being supportive through this process.
