If I could leave a review of negative stars, I would. One star, is too many. On Aug. 16, 2024, I needed their services because my father in law passed away the night before. Once entering Hibbs Funeral Home, I was greeted at the welcome desk by two individuals, one being an employee and the other being part owner of the business, named Stella. At the welcome desk was also a beautiful patriotic urn. One of the ladies was stuffing cremated remains inside of the urn. A lot of the remains were falling onto the desk and floor where this lady was sitting. I was asked to return at a later time because the lady I needed to speak with was at a service. I returned to the business approximately 15 minutes later. Upon my return, the patriotic urn was sitting on the countertop completely sealed along with another urn in a beige bag. The individual I needed to speak with was present. Her purse and a plate of food was sitting on the same countertop/desk. As I looked down at the desk, the individuals cremated remains were still scattered on top of the desk, as the lady was eating and her purse was sitting upon. I was completely mortified with what I had witnessed minutes before and now currently. I felt deep sorrow for the remains left scattered on the desk. And I felt scared for my father in laws body that was being released to this funeral home. I recorded the entire observation with my phone the 2nd time I visited. I wanted to share my experience with everyone so no one would ever have to experience what I had just witnessed. My father in law is a special man to me and I know the individual in the patriotic urn and beige bag is also someone’s special person. The dignity and respect for our loved ones is not cherished at this establishment. Please do not trust Hibbs funeral home and cremation with your deceased family member. I filed a complaint with the Oklahoma Funeral Board. I have received confirmation that the case is in review. I feel it’s important to share my experience in hopes to save someone else’s heartache.

After my mother passing at the hospital and having no clue where to start or how to do this, Hibbs was my first phone call. They were EXTREMELY helpful and handled everything from start to finish. My mother was tribal affiliated and I was unsure about the tribe helping with expenses but Hibbs handled everything with the tribe and all expenses were completely covered. They understood our wishes and complied without being pushy or trying to encourage us on things we did not want. We of course had to wait for things that were ordered such as the beautiful angel urn, a fingerprint ring, death certificates but Hibbs kept in touch and kept us up to date on progress. Would 100% recommend.
