Can not say enough great things about Kim at Carr funeral home. She is the most empathetic and caring individual who is highly skilled at her profession. She was made for the job and will take care of your every need from start to finish! There is no detail that she will forget and will handle it all!

My girlfriend, Dorothy's brother (Hubert) passed, while planning his gravesite service she plainly stated it couldn't be held on that coming Saturday due to another burial service that were already planned for Saturday, January 6th. So the Carr Funeral home representative (Tim Rigsby) offered her Monday or Friday. Dorthy choose Friday at 1 pm.. Come Friday I drove a distance from Georgia to burial site, others took the day off and drove a distance to attend the burial. When we all arrived there was no funeral home, no complete hole for the grave and most of all, no Hubert. When Dorthy called Carr Funeral home she was informed it was scheduled for Saturday not Friday. She was humiliated in front of all the family and friends. She was torn emotionally between two burial service's, one in Alabama the other in Georgia. It was wrong what they did. None of us that day should have ever had to experience such a stressful emotional experience in our lives. There is no doubt that Dorthy specified Friday and not Saturday.

On Jan 2nd, I had planned my brother, Hubert Bell's graveside service with Tim Rigsby, a Carr Funeral Home director. The service was to be held on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024. I told Tim the one day I COULD NOT schedule it was on the upcoming Saturday. The memorial for a very dear friend was already scheduled for that day in GA and I wanted, so much, to be there. I made this clear to Tim. So, when our small family and Hubert's few friends arrived on Jan.5, there was no one at the cemetery and no preparations were in place. Upon calling Carr, I was informed his service was scheduled for the next day (the ONE DAY I told Tim I could not schedule it). But since there was no recourse for the 5th, I had to go ahead and have his service on the 6th. I did not get to attend my friend's memorial nor could Hubert's friends return for the next day. Carr could not even get his date of death correct. On the public obituaries, they turned in the date of death for Jan. 2 and on his memory card, they listed it on the 1st. My brother was a special needs person, was bullied unmercifully at school, taken advantage of in life, and didn't even get to have a proper "good-by" service. While I forgive this mistake, I will never use or recommend Carr Funeral Home again. Hubert had no honor in life and no honor in death. So sad. ( No apology from Tim.)
