When our mother went into hospice care, our family was thrown into a process that we were entirely unfamiliar and unprepared for. It was a very scary and confusing time! Luckily, Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home had been suggested to us before our mother's death. When she died, Ballard-Sunder was there late at night to pick up her body. They guided us each step of the way. It was a great relief. We had about four meetings at different stages of the funeral process. Each meeting was full of helpful information and open and direct answers to every one of our questions. If Ballard-Sunder didn't know an answer they found the answer for us. Every part of the funeral process was organized with our participation and each stage it was very apparent to our family that Ballard-Sunder was going above and beyond. Every personal item was secured and cared for. Each detail down to the fingernail polish was accounted for. If there were potential complications such as weather or catering mishaps, they were prepared for it. Even the music to the videos was cued and timed to certain pictures and it wasn't just thrown together. Every deadline that was given was met to a T. Every promise made was a promise kept. Ballard-Sunder really cares about their work and it shows. It was such a relief for our family that everything was guided and at the same time personalized for who our mother was. We were really impressed with Ballard-Sunders cultural sensitivity. (Our congregation was half white and half Filipino-American.) Everybody felt welcome and everyone felt safe and comfortable enough to mourn in their own ways and Ballard-Sunder recognized the differences and commonalities in people that created an atmosphere for celebration and grief. We invited their staff to eat with us and we were so happy that they did. Our mom's funeral was beautiful and we know she would have been very happy with it. I cannot recommend them enough for their professionalism, affordability, and level of care and attention. Thank you Ballard-Sunder!
