I just lost my baby boy .. the pain for that was so devastating i wanted to die right with him.. this funeral home has made it so complicated for me to know what’s going on with his body, for me to know if he was even picked up from the hospital, and his cremation so i can always have his ashes .. THIS ALREADY IS SO SOUL BREAKING forget heart . the last thing i needed was for complication and lack of simple communication when it comes to getting my boy’s ashes. Maybe for an already existing person they care but if you loose a baby please don’t go here . it will make your heartache WORSE. I HUMBLY CHANGE THIS REVIEW COMPLETELY. I will leave the original only for reference. Piedmont Hospital has pushed so much blame on this INNOCENT funeral home. I lost my son 4/14/24 and was discharged on the 17th, Piedmont informed me that they will call the Snellville branch to pick up my son and handle his afterlife care. Under that impression I called the snellville branch and they had NO knowledge of my son or his passing. From there I should have known something was wrong but instead I called Piedmont (East Side location to be exact) and they specifically stated, “We have called them 3 times to come pick up your child, they have been informed at both locations since you live closer to snellville and they have all further information and details about his arrangements” from there I settled with that and made my review. I should have done further investigation but as I just lost my son, I wasn’t in my right mind to properly think. God sent Miss Stephanie to call me with urgency to get certain things signed so they can go ahead and proceed with getting my son. She also informed me that day that the hospital didn’t even give me the correct paperwork from their facility to sign when I was in the hospital to retrieve my son and his afterlife belongings. Now I wonder what paperwork they had me sign being that it wasn’t the correct forms. There was another red flag that I get again ignored thinking that the hospital was doing right by me. Finally as of 4/23 Miss Stephanie again attempted to contact me however my phone wouldn’t turn on at the time so she contacted his father to let me know everything was ready. From there I contacted her back and she informed me of ALL the hospitals lies as professionally as possible. She has made me aware that Piedmont NEVER spoke to them and in fact Tom Wages had to reach out and get things moving to get my child, and then she made me feel like Tom Wages cares more about my son and they didn’t even meet him! I feel like such a dunce to have not given them the benefit of the doubt but I say Miss Stephanie is a God sent because SHE and Tom Wages made my experience of loosing my son better and even is going out of their way to do me the favor of holding on to him until I can get him a urn. She also made sure my son’s name was spelled correctly as Piedmont gave them the complete WRONG name for my child and thank God she did some digging to get the correct baby! I deeply apologize for my review in earlier times and for my biased thinking by assuming the hospital will do right and meanwhile they were just saying whatever to cover up their mistakes. If you loose anyone, ANYONE no matter the age please know Tom Wages cares more than these hospitals where patients are just a number, at Tom Wages they’re still treated like humans.5 Star company and I wouldn’t say anything less now!

When my father passed away suddenly a few months ago, my family and I were lost. I had no experience planning a service and even thinking about it made me extremely sad, emotional, angry; among other things. We reached out to the staff at Tom Wages and from our first interaction, I was totally blown away. The care, respect and service the staff provided was well above expected. They comforted my family during the most difficult time of our life. I could not be more thankful for Bryan and the entire staff at Tom Wages. The service in the chapel was absolutely beautiful and they took care of everything. They have continued to check on my family even after the service, months after. Every need or question we have has been met. I am forever grateful for them all and highly recommend Tom Wages when needed during your difficult time. God bless!

Once again Tom M Wages funeral home has done an excellent job for my family in a very tough time. Val and the whole staff have been great through the whole process.Wages made a very hard situation just a little more bearable and for that I will be forever grateful.
