This is way overdue my mom passed in July 2024, and we brought her to St James funeral home. The compassion and care they showed were above and beyond from the preplanning with Michael and thru each and every step of the entire emotionally exhausting experience. I have to give a giant shout out to Curtis who came to take mom from her home after she passed to the funeral home. He was absolutely amazing at how he handled the situation besides the fact he did this all by himself and it wasn't easy, and he showed such compassion and totally made me feel like he was going to take good care of her just like he said he would. They also did a beautiful job for her viewing; she went thru allot in the end, but they made my mom look like she did years before she got sick. St James Funeral Home provided excellent customer service. They explained every option, guided us in our decision making process and kept in constant contact as we navigated some challenges issues. Marty was super helpful when there was a delay from the town/county so he hand-delivered the death certificates. Ron made himself available to answer questions and we made us feel relaxed and comforted. Mom looked great, her makeup was appropriate and we knew she was cared for with the utmost respect. Having the option to pay a team to do all of the pallbearers duties was a real relief to the family. We are grateful for the family atmosphere and family style treatment. I cannot say enough good about this funeral home, they have been there for us since before I was even born and they have never disappointed! From all of my grandparents, my godfather, and especially for my mothers passing in 2010 they have always been attentive and supportive. Kenny, Mike and Marty have helped me and my loved ones an immense amount during so many of our moments of grief, we will never go anywhere else! If you’re looking for a dignified service for your loved one I could not think of another place that compares.
