RG & GR Harris Funeral home did a great job with helping our family with the decisions needed for my dad’s funeral. They were attentive and supportive during the service and at the cemetery. Matt, Dave and the rest of the staff were great.

This funeral home has been used in the past by my family as well as currently. They show respect for you and your loved one that has passed and walk you through the process of purchasing whatever funeral needs you are requesting with compassion and thoughtfulness. I would definitely recommend them!

Very disappointed that at a time when I am at my most vulnerable, that a funeral home would basically commit highway robbery. A situation of a death at home, where the medical examiner is not wanting to perform an autopsy due to age/health. Who knew that the ambulance does not take the body and that you need to arrange for a funeral home to pick it up. I called RG to pick up the body, which they did and transported it approximately 8 miles. The following day (two weeks ago) I travel to the funeral home for a simple cremation without any special urn and NO services ends up costing me almost $3,000 (only because I complained about the cost). One of items I was charged for was the funeral home staff.... not sure why.... it will be 2 weeks tomorrow and I have not even received one phone call to let me know the cremains are ready or the death certificates... NOTHING! After I leave, I find that one of my other family members paid $1000 for the same services. IT IS DISGUSTING and a shame that you have to worry about price gouging at such a horrible time. Update… So about an hour or so after posting this, I finally received a call from the funeral home advising me that my father’s ashes and death certificates are already. they then proceeded to tell me that it’s a shame that I couldn’t tell them how disappointed I was with the pricing as we could’ve discussed it at the time. He would’ve been happy to work with me. I’m sorry, but who knew that making funeral arrangements was like going to a garage sale where you needed to bargain on the price! I told him I was disappointed that he waited until my posting before He contacted me about the remains and the death certificates. He advised that due to the holiday there was a back up. Please note I received a call on January 18. the cremation occurred on January 10. Nearly 8 days later I received a call telling me they were ready, and only after posting this review. Admittedly, he was not happy about the review and told me that had I not posted he would’ve been able to work something out. I made it clear that I was not posting in an effort to get money back, but that I wanted people to know that when you were at your worst, they are not as compassionate as they pretend to be. Personally, I would’ve found it very disrespectful to have tried to bargain on the cost of my father‘s funeral, And quite honestly, I was grieving and still in shock.
