My son passed into heaven last Friday May 12, 2023 after a vigilant fight with leukemia. He was 27. Owen Funeral Homes surpassed our greatest expectations. They were caring compassionate and showed us they had respect and love for everyone especially Ryan. It wasn’t a funeral, it was truly a celebration of life. Dealing with the loss of a loved one or family member is always a difficult and emotional situation. I have been fortunate that I have never been in the situation until last month. My biological father, with whom I was estranged with until the last couple years, passed away unexpectedly. My younger brother and I were his own family members. He had no life insurance, no will, never said what he would want after he passed, nothing. I had no idea who to call, what to do, how to plan. Thankfully my neighbor suggested Owen Funeral Home in J-Town. I am so happy she suggested them. Rachel helped me every step of the way to plan and explain everything I needed to do. The visitation was wonderful and the staff was amazing. They even provided me with Thank You cards and just the other day I received mail with information about coping with a loss and information about support if needed. I am so thankful for Rachel and her team at Owen Funeral Home.
