I had my daughters funeral here back in February. Melanie and her team were so helpful and worked with me one on one to make sure my daughter send off was as perfect as i imagined it. I’m so grateful for your patience, compassion and positivity through this whole process.

My sister wanted a service that truly reflected her dear husband's life. Melanie respected her wishes and she couldn't have been more accommodating. Melanie put together a beautiful video complete with my brother in law's favorite music and photos, that spotlighted his personality. The beautiful sunny room was warm, peaceful and so inviting. Anything my sister asked for was done with respect and kindness.. Melanie's attention to detail and respect for the mourners, dear friends and relatives was outstanding. Our family can not thank Melanie enough for her kindness and professionalism. I highly recommend using her services.

Overall experience with the Melanie B. Scheid Funeral Services was a good one, at least as good as it can be when you're dealing with the passing of a loved one. When my father-in-law needed to spend-down his funds to qualify for Medical Assistance, Melanie was very helpful in the process of prepaying for his funeral. She accommodated my busy workload at the time and we got it taken care of quickly. When he passed away about 7 months later, 2 days before Thanksgiving, she was again very helpful and accommodating, offering (if we absolutely needed to) to meet with us on Thanksgiving Day to make the arrangements. Thankfully a meeting on the holiday was not necessary, but she was willing to do so. When we met the plan the services, the logistics of holiday events at churches immediately became an issue. Melanie was extremely helpful with suggestions throughout the whole process to get everything lined up and people flowing where they needed to. In a nutshell, visitation was at the funeral home one day, funeral was the next day at one church, internment was at another church and the luncheon was at a third church. But she moved people where they needed to be and everything went smoothly. My father-in-law started the conversation with Melanie a number of years ago and we have no regrets that we continued it to fruition.
