Cremation was pre-paid. After death, Lanier Funeral & Cremation was incredible! Excellent Customer Service, Empathy and extremely helpful with any and all questions I had. Even though I live out of State, it was if Lanier was next door like caring neighbor. Even after eight months, I required additional assistance. Yes, Lanier again was outstanding. I must recommend their Services for any and all of ones need at a time of loss.

I've never been to a more mismanaged funeral in all my life. My grandmother deserved so much better. We sat around for 2 hours before a word was spoken. Then we get to the cemetery and the plot wasn't even dug yet. There was no tent over the grave site, no chairs, just an orange perimeter around the area to be dug. So they said that she would be buried the next day at 3pm. So I went to the cemetery at 3pm and she had already been buried. Not a single person in sight. The only part of the service that I found to be memorable in a good way, was the release of a dove 🕊 after the chapel service.

In response to Ms. Thorn's review: The unfortunate circumstances surrounding the grave not being opened was out of the control of the funeral home. Her grandmother was buried the next day at 2:30 and there was indeed a family member there for the entirety of the burial including the filling in and smoothing of the dirt and the flowers put in place. The immediate family was also on the phone at the time. The immediate family was pleased with the services and understanding as well as compensated for the opening and closing of the grave and set up. As for the "2 hours before a word was spoken"...that was the 2 hour viewing and visitation before the funeral service. The funeral home strives for excellence in serving families with compassion and integrity. Misinformed reviews by family members who were not present at the time of arrangement or involved in rectifying a mistake do nothing but prevent other families the service they deserve and can rarely find somewhere else.
