I highly recommend Lambert Funeral Home. Shelbi, the director there, is the Gold Standard on how you treat the folks grieving the loss of their loved one. The level of attention and support we received was beyond expectations. Shelbi is an Angel! We will never forget her and her staff.

From the initial planning to the many questions prior to the service, then the day of the service and reception, everything went smoothly and actually better than I had anticipated. Lambert Funeral Home was a literal answer to my mom’s prayers. My dad suddenly passed following some health complications back on December 30, 2023 literally right before the new year. He was a veteran so we knew he would be buried at the national cemetery of our choice, but given that he was the first direct loss our family had experienced, we had absolutely NO idea about how to go about handling everything, let alone how to plan a funeral. On NYE, I originally reached out to a couple other funeral homes that I told my mom about and got no answer, but I also wasn’t expecting to with the holiday — we were just going to wait for a call back. But, then she called me the next day and told me, “God showed me the funeral home that is supposed to take care of dad — I’ll text you the info now”. I looked over the reviews and the website and asked my mom if she was sure. She was positive. My dad was an extremely handsome, well dressed southern man who’d relocated to CA and spent the last few decades of his life here. Her top priority was making sure we selected a funeral home that would treat us with compassion and my dad’s body with the utmost care and respect. In praying for that, Lambert’s was God’s response to her so I didn’t question it further. We called the funeral home immediately even though it was New Year’s Day. I remember telling my mom we may not reach anyone but, Lisa answered immediately. She did everything right - she expressed sympathy, acknowledged our spiritual convictions, and provided us with all the info we needed. She even answered our sensitive questions about ensuring that my dad, a man of darker skin, wouldn’t look strange with the wrong make up or something as my mom was traumatized seeing family not look good at funerals as a kid because the embalmers lacked experience with people of our ethnic background. She assured us they had the best staff and that my mom’s husband, our dad, would look amazing. We secured them the next day. Our account was assigned to Emilee but everyone helped out whenever necessary. Emilee was a gem. She always hugged my mom with such love and spoke so gently. In the planning she was right there. Whatever we wanted/needed, she got it. Anything that needed to be done, she did it. My dad was well loved so a lot of the programs, photos, slideshows, events, were organized and done by family, friends, and church members who wanted to show their love for Mr. B, and Emilee never questioned anything. She gave us what we asked for, offered things she thought we’d love based on our vision for the services (he had multiple), and didn’t press anything beyond that. She took care of all of the arrangements with the VA cemetery and made sure we had all the accolades for his gravesite service as an army vet. In the moments we were uncertain or indecisive, she patiently helped us navigate it. When we needed doves, they had “the plug”. And when I went with my mom to her private viewing to see my dad before everyone else, he looked phenomenal 🥹 my mom wept tears of thanksgiving to God and took the first real chance to grieve the husband she’d done life with for the last 27 years. The execution of his funeral and gravesite service is something I’ll forever look back on with the greatest fondness. They made sure he looked sharp and was buried with the respect and honors he deserved 🫡 a funeral is devastating, but my dad always knew we’d take care of him when his time came and Lambert’s made that possible every step of the way down to the minute details like having his death certificate amended so my mom could handle his final affairs with VA and having the plaque corrected on his flag case. Their services were in line with average funeral expense costs at an affordable price point, but their service was TOP TIER like we paid way more. I could never thank them enough for taking care of our family the way they did. 1000/10 recommend. Thank you Lisa and Emilee - you forever have the Belser family’s love and respect.
