This past week we had the privilege in assisting our dear friend Tammy Wales with her husband's, Red Wales, funeral. Curtis and the entire team at Heritage Funeral Home were absolutely the most compassionate, understanding and professional group I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The time and patience spent explaining and answering all of our questions was extraordinary. The level of detail and their special touches were above and beyond. I am absolutely humbled by the customer service provided to us by the staff at Heritage. My first contact was Terry. I called from out of state because I had been notified that my beloved step-dad had passed while visiting family in TN. I know Terry was in the middle of a service but he broke away to take my frantic call and let me know that someone would be in touch with me soon. I was connected to Stephanie. She was my lifeline for a week and took control of everything I needed and executed PERFECTLY! I mean PERFECTLY. No detail was left out. She got the flowers, the officiant, the keepsakes, and so much more. She stayed in touch with me every step of the way. I could not have done this without her help because I have never been to Chattanooga. On the day of the funeral, Terry and his team took the lead and respectfully got us to the National cemetery on time and made sure to explain things a couple times to us to ensure we understood because he knew our minds may be elsewhere. I am so incredibly grateful and impressed by the care that was shown to us. The facility is quite large, warm and welcoming. Everything was meticulously clean. And a special shout out to Judy. She recognized my name when I called to speak to Stephanie and addressed some questions on an item that was still pending. Taking care of business while still being genuinely kind. It was a sad reason to come to Chattanooga but so much care and attention was given to us that we were able to focus on honoring and grieving my sweet step-dad. Thank you to Heritage. I will never forget your kindnesses. If you are looking for a team to help plan your final requests, I highly recommend.

My husband passed on a cruise ship to Alaska. There were a lot of logistics to figure out to get him home and I couldn't have managed it without Curtis and Heritage Funeral Home. They went far above and beyond and kept me updated every step of the way. They were super accommodating by allowing me to bring our Harley Davidson motorcycle inside the parlor and worked with another Funeral Home to have a Harley Trile for my husband's last ride. The celebration of life we did for him was perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything more. I will forever be grateful for all of their help.
