Losing a loved one is an unbelievably painful time. Healy’s took such great care of mom, and was there for our family. There was no pressure to buy the most expensive or extravagant arrangements. Paul Healy gave us the time to determine the best way to honor mom’s memory and to provide an opportunity for friends and family to grieve.

Losing someone you love is really heartbreaking, having someone take advantage of you during this time is just downright sad. We had an itemized bill of what the funeral cost would be, written by a lady named Laurie at Healy Chapel. After visiting the cemetery and returning to Healy Chapel to square up our bill, Laurie wasn’t available. Reluctantly we accepted the offer of the owner of Healy Chapel to assist us. Big mistake. It was like buying a car, he was trying to upsell us on this and that. We had already decided on what we wanted, all he had to do is accept our payment. Instead, he came back with a revised bill that he tacked on an additional charge of $450, claiming Laurie forgot to add it (eyebrows up). But here’s the kicker. The morning of the graveside service, at 9:00AM the florist attempted to deliver the casket spray to Healy Chapel. You know, the flowers that goes on top of the casket? Healy Chapel refused the flowers, and told the florist, that the service wasn’t until 11:00AM. How did that make sense? So, Healy Chapel brought the bare casket without the casket flowers, mind you, they had refused them, then when I inquired what happened to the casket spray, Healy Chapel funeral director /owner, truthfully told me there were no flowers at Healy Chapel for the casket when they left, then untruthfully told me the florist was on the way, concluded the florist must had gotten lost. Really? Never again. Unacceptable. The only reason I gave Healy Chapel one star is because I wasn't allowed to give zero stars.

My family and I are very thankful for the guidance, support and service provided by Healy Chapel in Aurora. This was an extremely difficult time for us, so the empathy and professionalism shown to us, was a huge comfort and greatly appreciated.
