Zero !!!! Worst experience of my life! I didn’t know until after the fact! I’m very very very upset! My mother lived in Donna! Her kids and husband lived in Houston! My mother left to come be with her mother! Long story short her own mother pulled the plug on her and didn’t want us to see her even after death! We came down and my siblings and I couldn’t even see our own mother! They made us pay 1000 just to see our dead mother! How in the world do you charge her own kids and husband to see her? My heart was broken and what if I didn’t have the money!? I couldn’t say goodbye to my own mother? The way this works should be illegal! The whole experience was just horrible. My mom deserved better than this! And her mom should be ashamed of herself from keeping her kids away from her. Please don’t have a service here all they do is care about money and don’t care about anything else. My mother was still married and they did all of this without my dad’s final approval or they didn’t get permission to do anything. Then they wanna charge us to see her.. crazy! Hope yall are ready to see my lawyer!

Mr. Hawkins was a very considerate and thoughtful funeral director who compassionately handled our three previous family funerals in Weslaco, Texas. Sadly, Mr. Hawkins passed away in 2018. Let it be known that inconsiderate, thoughtless and unprofessional people now run the funeral home disrespecting his good name. Let the reader use discernment when selecting a funeral home to handle your loved ones final needs. I would absolutely not recommend this facility.

Hawkins Funeral Home in Donna ,Tx is very disrespectful of my family. After waiting 4 weeks for the death certificate I call to find out they have been in their possession and never contacted the family. Then 2 separate occasions I was told they shipped the certificates Fed ex only to find out they lied on both occasions . This is unacceptable . The estate can't be settled until a death certificate is in hand. They know this but still chose to disrespect my family. From my personal experience I would strongly advice you contact another Funeral home for your family needs.
