Worst experience of my life! I didn’t know until after the fact! I’m very very very upset! My mother lived in Donna! Her kids and husband lived in Houston! My mother left to come be with her mother! Long story short her own mother pulled the plug on her and didn’t want us to see her even after death! We came down and my siblings and I couldn’t even see our own mother! They made us pay 1000 just to see our dead mother! How in the world do you charge her own kids and husband to see her? My heart was broken and what if I didn’t have the money!? I couldn’t say goodbye to my own mother? The way this works should be illegal! The whole experience was just horrible. My mom deserved better than this! And her mom should be ashamed of herself from keeping her kids away from her. Please don’t have a service here all they do is care about money and don’t care about anything else. My mother was still married and they did all of this without my dad’s final approval or they didn’t get permission to do anything. Then they wanna charge us to see her.. crazy! Hope yall are ready to see my lawyer!

After my father's passing back in February 2022, I was given two options for funeral homes. Unfortunately this was one of the two. I thought cause it was close it would have been in my best interest to go here. However, they were very unsympathetic, inconsiderate and rude. Never once did they say "sorry for your loss", or anything comforting. When trying to get my father's ashes the woman was very rude and almost acted as if she did not want me to get my father's ashes. Luckily to whomever spoke with my sister called her for us to come get our father's ashes. I usually don't acknowledge other people's reviews but in this case I think if given zero stars or negative stars was an option I would absolutely give zero or negative stars.

Ms. Priscilla and her staff helped my family immensely when my father passed away unexpectedly in February 2022. It was a big help getting professional guidance on what steps we needed to take in planning his funeral. Like any funeral home, Hawkins is not perfect. There were two errors that needed to be corrected; however, the staff made the corrections immediately and apologetically. Ms. Priscilla was empathetic and sincere throughout the process. Every family's experience is different...as for us, we are grateful and thankful for Ms. Priscilla in such a difficult time.
