The care and professionalism demonstrated by John Beckwith Jr. and his team were exceptional, and I am incredibly grateful for the dignity and respect they showed throughout this process. I would like to first thank Golden Gate for being the funeral home for my family for two funerals in less than 6 months. Both of my uncles died this year and it was a shock to the family. The first wake and funeral was wonderful. Golden Gate extended a room out for us during the wake and the funeral was a class act and true memorial. The three stars are for the first funeral. The second funeral was not so smooth. The funeral home had back to back services. Another service was right before ours, we did not start on time. We paid for a preacher, no preacher came. My mother, the oldest sister, ended up leading the service. We then ran out of time immediately following the prayer and the funeral home attendant began leading the funeral goers in viewing the body. This was a shock. The son (my cousin) of the deceased had not even had a moment to say anything about his father. During the viewing, he ended up getting up and taking the mic. Finally, the funeral attendant announced that my uncle would be cremated which made the family cry out and say NO. He will be buried!!!! She announced the end of the service and we sat there in shock until someone said that another funeral was right after ours and we needed to get out. We were no treated with respect. The family of the deceased was not treated with the respect of the dearly departed. We were treated like a death assembly line. Get in, mourn, and get out!!!!! This is NOT ok.

I cannot extend enough gratitude to GOLDEN GATE FUNERAL HOME for the design, creation and execution of/for My GrandMothers ( Gloria Brown-Byerly ) aka GRANNY Going Home Celebration. The calm , warm, patience that everyone administered to our family, was extremely Top Tier. I wish I could give more than 5 stars because it definitely deserved. And a Special Thank You to; CHRISTINA, JORDAN , SHONDREA, CARL, and NICK . To shorten this up, all I will say is, you guys are spectacular humans. On behalf of my entire family and friends.
