My father recently passed away at the age of 87. To say I didn’t handle it well is to say the least. Especially the planning of the funeral and the many choices and decisions that come with it. Jamie with Bruce’s Funeral Home in Fort Dodge was extremely patient with me and the rest of the family and went at our pace. When I delayed the funeral Jamie handled it very professionally and informed the guests there would be a short delay before starting the service. The service was very beautiful and very well thought out. Jamie and her staff did an outstanding job handling another funeral on top of the other ones they had going on that week. We received numerous comments about the excellent video slideshow Jamie and my niece Rachel put together. She also arranged for a full military rights service at the graveside, it was incredible to say the least. My dad would’ve been so honored. He was so very proud of Jamie, his granddaughter and my niece and the woman she had become. It takes a special person to do the job that funeral homes have And an even more special person to be able to plan and conduct a service for her grandfather who played such a big part in her life growing up.
