I was very please with my experience at Forest Lawn in CathedralCity they accommodated me even when I was an hour early and with a smile. Receptionist was very friendly and professional. Juan was knowledgeable and helpful as I made my decision about cremation services.

No stars if I could. First off, Ignascia was so rude with my family when we were making arrangements. As if losing a loved one isn’t hard enough she showed no compassion. Later my family complained about how extremely rude she was and they offered to upgrade the memorial tablet. Okay great I see them making an effort. Then, I reached out to one of the coordinators, Marlene, because I had some concerns and frustrations with the escorts whose services were purchased. They only escorted 5-7 cars of out caravan which was well over 30 cars. I was the first car behind my Mom’s casket. By the time I parked my car, all 4 motorcycle escorts and suv escort were parked at the church themselves. We had to wait for the rest of the caravan to get to church, so that the rest of the pallbearers could help carry the casket due to the lack of escort service. After the church, we went to the cemetery where once again only 5-7 cars were escorted. We had to delay the service with the priest because the rest of the caravan was left behind by the escorts. When I parked my car at the cemetery I received a call from one of my aunts asking me to wait for them to start the service because they were stuck at a red light along with other cars and immediate family members on Cesar Chavez Ave waiting to turn on to Ave 52. As they were now part of regular traffic. Now for the second time, as I parked my car at the cemetery, I got off the car and looked towards the road and seen that all escorts had already left...ending their shift as I still have family waiting to turn onto Ave 52. I was initially hesitant in needing the escort services in its entirety. After speaking with several of my moms sisters/brothers, they pressed the need for the escorts due to the large caravan that would be attending, considering that immediate family alone was going to be at least 15 cars not including family friends and extended relatives from out of town and out of the country coming to pay their respects. We ended up being a caravan of a minimum of 30 vehicles. Having to put a loved one to rest is difficult in itself yet alone having to worry about the lack of paid services that should have made the itinerary hassle free for the family and all In attendance. Forest Lawn responded that they could take off $200 of the $700 for the escorts or the previous offer of the upgraded tablet. One or the other but not both. For two DIFFERENT mishaps! Well I’m sure if you all were in my position you wouldn’t pay even $500 for the service. Now making me choose on two different mishaps is a bit ridiculous and offensive. Like I indicated before, they “escorted” 5-7 cars total. That being said, that would be paying $72-$100 per car. We would have not included it in the package if that were the case and neither would you. DO NOT ORDER ESCORTS! AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRENDOUS!
