The loss of my love one was devastating. I was at the facility one day and ran into an angel, Crystal Johnson, General Manager. From that moment I spoke to her, I knew everything was going to be alright. She provided, comfort, resources and resolutions. She is honest, devoted, confidential, caring, understanding and followed up and through with her every word! The communication never wavered. When I say, she provided service that every family needs when going through a loss. Her attentiveness, respect and honesty is very rare these days. I am so glad our paths crossed that day and she is definitely the reason that I will use their services again if needed. Words can't reach the level of appreciation I have for her professionalism and comfort. Thank you so much Crystal and staff for making this situation comforting in ALL of the way that you have.

My parents-in-law had a prepaid burial plan with Forest Hill Funeral Home. They also had family plots at Memorial Gardens in Memphis. In using the family plots we understood that we would give up the plots at Forest Hill, which we had no problem with. Our problem lies in the fact that Forest Hill wants to charge $800 plus tax for a 3 1/2 '' x 1" insert that simply shows my mil's date of death. On several occasions my husband has been told that well you got a good deal on the service, etc. It is like they want to penalize you for my mother-in-law having the foresight to buy the preplanned funeral. I called up JT who takes care of the markers and he asked where did we get that number? (meaning the $800) We told him from at least 2 of the ladies at the funeral home told us that. He said it is $319. I asked since we are giving up the plots, which they can resell, could they waive this fee? He said he would check. After 5 non-returned phone calls, I left a final message saying just call us back so we can pay the $319 and move forward on this. Still no call. And by the way we did spend a couple of thousand extra each on the service for upgrades on both my mother-in-law's funeral and my father-in-laws funeral. In addition, they can sell the plots to someone else. I feel that they are only there for the money, yet at each service we hear " we are here for you now and down the road and will pray for you." Really????

I would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at Forest Hill Funeral Home. From the minute we walked in the door, every person was friendly, kind and helpful. Tiffanie Joiner was so sweet and thorough in helping us with the plans for Mom's service. She answered all of our questions and made good suggestions based on what we thought our Mom would want. She took her time with us and explained all options. The service was handled by Charlie Gray and Shelby. They was so.professional and set everything up the way we wanted. The video that Charlie created was amazing and something we will always cherish. Charlie and Shelby were with us every step of the way that day We truly appreciated their guidance and support in getting through this difficult day.
