Handling a funeral for a non-family member could have been difficult, but with Dietrich it was easy and full of kindness and grace. Each person I interacted with took extra steps to respectfully honor our deceased friend. Tim provided gentle professional guidance every step of the way, and Charlie went the extra mile in proposing a personal headstone design that so perfectly met our friend's love of Latin. Tim found the perfect priest to work with us, and he spoke so beautifully about our friend, even surprising us by including some Latin in the service. I recommend Dietrich Funeral Home 100%. Tim and his staff exude the utmost of professionalism and sincerity. This is truly a calling for them and they are very likable and friendly as a group. Frankly, it feels like they are part of the family with how the way they interact with and support everyone through the process. We came to know Dietrich with the sudden passing of our Aunt Nancy in 2021 and instantly knew that this was the place we would go to when it came time for our parents' arrangements. When it came time for preplanning these arrangements in December of 2023, Tim took the time to meet with us and make us feel comfortable with the process. He was very responsive and respectful of our wishes and didn't try to sell us anything we didn't want. He did a solid week of research on several Ohio funeral homes who would handle local services before transport to Buffalo for the larger, family services. He picked three great options to give us flexibility when the time came, all with pricing and his recommendation. Little did we know that the plan would be put in motion three weeks later! Tim acted as the single point of contact, maintaining control over all the Ohio operations including making calls at 3:00am right after the passing. It was reassuring to know we had someone on our side through the whole process, even as it was happening 300+ miles away from Dietrich and Tim. The local services were excellent, the transport to Buffalo was efficient and the services in Buffalo were beyond our expectations. In the background, the church of choice advised it couldn't host the funeral so Tim found an even better solution and an incredible Priest for the services. Small things-- we had boxes of photos to display and a time crunch to find a a place for a luncheon. Tim wouldn't let us put up the photos-- he insisted that his team would do it. We had done this ourselves at the Ohio services and thought we did well, but Tim and his staff are on a different level! Way better than we could have ever imagined. In short, you can trust Tim and his staff at Dietrich. While I hope it's later rather than sooner, we will unquestionably be returning to Dietrich when our mother passes and know 100% that we are good hands.

Dietrich funeral home far surpassed all expectations. My father passed away a couple months ago unexpectedly. When my mom, sister, and & I showed up to Dietrich Funeral home we were greeted by Kelly and later on introduced to Tim. They took a process that is normally so painful and complicated and made it run even smoother than I could have imagined. Tim was truly incredible, he even came out to talk to my sister and I and give us words of encouragement. Kelly was also phenomenal.
