Outstanding job by the entire staff. Most compassionate and wonderful group to help lead our family as we navigated two of our family's most difficult events; the death of our daddy in 2020 and our moma in 2022. Hannah, David, Scott and John went out of their way to ensure that our daddy's unusual service was able to be held even during the ever changing events with the COVID restrictions. The same staff made sure our moma's wishes were granted and ensured that she too was sent off with the respect and dignity she deserved. We would highly recommend Carpenter Porter Funeral Home.

This funeral home published a highly inaccurate obituary about my father, Randy Fernandez. They printed that my father was a Vietnam Veteran and also stated that my father was a pilot. I contacted them immediately to have them fix the inaccurate statements and they didn’t even have the decency to respond to my concerns and, to date, haven’t made the corrections. My dad was a wonderful man, but out of respect to true Vietnam Vets, it’s unfair to give my father the same recognition. My dad served in the Air Force during Vietnam and was honorably discharged early due to a financial hardship, but he never left American soil and never stepped foot in Vietnam. Having served in the armed forces during wartime, my dad was a Vietnam Era Veteran, but not a true Vietnam Veteran. He also NEVER flew a plane. He NEVER even took a flying lessons. He did have frequent flyer points as a passenger on Delta, but he was not a pilot. Out of respect to my father and his descendants, we have asked for these corrections to me made. Also, during his viewing, his body looked nothing like him. They did a terrible job. I wouldn’t recommend their funeral home.
