Laura Holland was kind enough to assist me in getting a loved one of a family I was assisting, home for her services and burial. As a funeral director working with a family and trying meet and exceed every expectation they have, we hold each other to a high standard because we want to deliver 100% satisfaction to the family we are serving. Laura met every expectation I have of myself. She was available when I needed her and kept in complete communication with me throughout this process. Laura and her team at Blount and Curry in Carrollwood were fantastic. From the moment we walked in, our family felt loved and cared for. Laura spent a lot of time asking about our Mom Linda. She wanted to know about her life and the things that were special to her. They did a beautiful job of preparing the room and staying patient with us as we requested small changes. Laura saw some of the pictures we had and did a beautiful frame for our favorite one. The service was wonderful and her staff made all of our guests feel like we were sitting in our living room. Jim Barth, is one of a kind. A truly compassionate man. My mom was living in TX the past 2 years, with another family member when she passed at a well lived, 94 years old. Weeks after that family member received ashes, I was still waiting for mom to return to us in Tampa. I called Blount and Curry to ask if they would assist in getting her remains into the holding vessel my husband I chose, along with a pendant which holds remains and some additional for gem stone to be made from. He did so gracefully and as I've said compassionately and expected nothing, nothing in return. Not a dime. I am overwhelmed, and gratitude will fill my soul with his act of gentle kindness.
