I called a few funeral homes and Bell-O'Dea was recommended to us. George answered the phone and he was very understanding and knowledgeable and most importantly, very personable and compassionate. This is a family owned business for 5 generations and it doesn't have the commercial vibe like most other funeral homes. Sure, they don't open 24/7 and it was hard as my mom passed away 3AM in the morning. The waiting period was hard on the family but the wait was well worth it...I called them as soon as they are open and George immediately asked John (his Dad, also the funeral director) to call me back and he did. He also emailed me a list of their service and the price (Do note that they still use AOL, haha, so it went into my junk mailbox but its all good). Everything is very clear and no hidden fees or mention of gratuities from some other funeral homes...Honestly I found it so odd for the other funeral homes to mention tips and gratuities when my mom just passed. I am so glad we came to Bell O'Dea. They are not only professional, John is a great listener. He asked us what our mom was like, what she would want, and just sat there to listen to our stories for an hour. We felt so comfortable that our mom is in good hands with them. They helped us to dress our mom, answered all of our questions via text messages in split seconds, the personal attention is just so worth it (Trust me, we change our mind so many times and they are so patience with us!!) And I want to thank John and George with their help throughout this difficult process. Words can't express our gratitude to them.
