Horrible, from start to finish. Anthony showed up at our house to collect my mom after she passed, at which time he started talking about prices for everything. Then, he was informed that we wanted to hold a memorial at their facility once my mom's remains were back. He told us everything was good, so we scheduled a memorial service. The day before for memorial was to be held we found out the death certificate was wrong and not signed by the doctor yet. My dad had to go to the doctor himself and inform him we needed it signed (he had been sick so we understand why he hadn't signed, but Anthony told us everything was good to go). So the day before our scheduled memorial my mom hadn't been cremated yet. He told us she would be ready in time for the memorial. The day of the memorial we were lead to believe that my mom's remains were there. They were not. She was cremated the morning of the memorial, It was 30 minutes before the memorial started and we were told "an hour to an hour and a half" and her remains would be there. So an hour goes by, then two, then three, my mom's remains still weren't there. The driver wouldn't answer the phone, Anthony wouldn't answer the phone. Around 7:00pm (an hour before the memorial was over) my mom's remains arrived. Also, there were ants everywhere in the room where the food is kept. There were ants in all of our food, they were in every cabinet, walking around all over the walls and the counter top. Also, we still haven't received the urn we ordered. This was the worst place I have ever experienced and wouldn't recommend them to anyone, for any reason. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Edit: we finally received the urn (two weeks later). It wasn’t even the one we ordered.

My apologies experience with Spring Valley funeral home at first did start out very rough.. We kept having issues with getting my mother's death certificate signed by the physician and when I would call vital statistics, they would say that it was kicked back in their system, ( from the physician) back to the funeral home and it was because of something with my S.S #. Well, after a lot of effort and work k to figure out what the problen was and where the error was coming from, ( almost two months worth the waiting, we finally figured it out, and it was of no fault from Spring Valley, it was all coming from the Hospice Care center that had been taking care of my mother. I will say Anthony was working on it as he could, and the best he could, and then I have to say I was able to talk with this Amazing lady that had started there, her name being Hannah, and I will tell you that Hannah was and is Absolutely amazing and wonderful, her dedication and professionalism was amazing and she is definitely a VERY viable asset for and to the funeral home. From the first time I was able to speak with her, she literally stayed in contact with me and between her and I, we figured out where the issue was and between her, Anthony and me, We all three were able to work together and get it resolved. Yes, it was a struggle at times, and frustrating, however, I will also say that from my initial meeting with Anthony they were definitely great, especially with working with me as I had to come and meet them from out of state. All the way up until we finally figured it out and got it resolved. Even though my frustration did hit it's breaking point, there was a definite positive resolution and the experience, ( no matter how rough at times) brought about the best and definitely positive results from some very caring people.

In addition to my previous review left regarding a disgraced service provided on 7/9/24: It is to be noted that the employees had no knowledge of their protocol on their part at the grave site ceremony. They stood by the hearse/van, never once thanked the family for using their services, never acknowledged the family of the deceased, never made their selves available in the future after the committal of the deceased to the ground. The gentleman of the two employees walked in mid way of the wake with a key in hand and never raised the body up in the casket for proper viewing. The deceased children ages 8 & 10 had to be picked up in order to see their Father. Guest had to walk up and look down because the body was never properly raised.
