South Carolina Cremation handled my mom's arrangements. They are very nice and caring folks. Everything was done promptly and there were no issues of any kind. The pricing was very reasonable and there were no hidden costs. I appreciated the availability of posting an obituary on their website. They have many services that I did not use but that might be useful.
Wonderful caring company that handled the loss of my husband during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. They even hand delivered his rings with the paperwork I needed. Awesome folks. Highly recommended!
Alicia and her team were amazing, due to the unfortunate circumstances we had to meet, but they made the process seamless. I highly recommend this company if you are in need of their services! Thank you all for your compassion during our hard time.
This service was very efficient and professional from our first contact. Communication was clear and precise. Our family received everything that was promised. We were promised personalized service and all services we chose were delivered in a timely fashion and were professionally handled. From start to finish staff stayed in close contact with my family and to be honest even after completion, staff remained in contact to check on us and offer ancillary services. They deliver the complete package. Thank you SC Cremation Society.
If I could give a 100 stars to South Carolina cremation society I would, they are kind, knowledgeable, professional and very empathetic to your and your loved ones!! Julie has been absolutely amazing and a breath of fresh air during this process! Even 3 months later she still reaches out to check in and see if there is anything they can help and also offers resources for counseling!

The history of Thompson Funeral Home dates back to 1928 when J.R. "Buddy" Thompson started the business with the simple idea of providing unparalleled personal service to the families of Cayce, West Columbia, and Columbia. In return, through the years the people of this area have been very faithful to Thompson Funeral Home. In 1935, "Buddy" Thompson completed the first building in this area that was built strictly for the use as a funeral home. That building still is operational today at 200 State Street in West Columbia. In 1999, Thompson Funeral Home opened its second location in Lexington to better serve all the families of Lexington County. When you meet our people, you will see the familiar faces of local residents who have lived and worked in the community for years, said John B. Halloran, Managing Director of Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park. With assorted backgrounds and years of experience, our staff understands the local customs, needs and expectations of the community, providing unparalleled service in your greatest time of need.
