Wonderful staff, who are very compassionate and thorough. After using Shepard's for my brother's services a few years back, there was no question as to who I would use when my father passed recently. Shepherds Funeral home staff has been wonderful to work with over the years. Always thoughtful & caring. Extremely helpful during a difficult time of saying goodbye. My family’s first experience was when my 37 year old brother-in-law passed unexpectedly, 25 years ago. Since then we’ve used their services several times for other family members. They were very professional & worked with us generously in a difficult financial situation.

We used this place few years ago for my niece that was to be cremated 2 girls 18 and 20 went to set the service they ask to rent the coffin was told that they don't do that because they can not sell it after but we know that's lie. they were told the bill had to be paid in full before anything can be done and I unstand that but few months after my best friend husband die she used this place she wanted to pay the bill in full was told buy Andrew to pay after the service was done. I went with her 1 week latter to pay the bill. My friend is white the girls are cape ve4dean and poor.I paid the bill for them. my family uses cartmell or Bartlett on Plymouth the best people to deal with the treat even one the same cross the board they are also color blind. This place does not treat people of color the same. by the way I am married to a white man.
