Please don’t do business with Serenity. Save yourself the stress! From the start, Mary had an attitude, seemed annoyed with questions we had. She wasn’t too informative with many things and had to be called back many times. At our mother’s funeral, she tells us she couldn’t do the dove release (that were ordered and paid for years ago by our mother)and tells us she would reimburse us?! Then she said she forgot. We were pretty upset already, then to hear this? After 30 minutes she said she managed to find someone and that he would be there in a while. We had to drag out the graveside service just to wait for the dove person she forgot to order. Go somewhere else. She hasn’t a clue how to communicate with those who are grieving.

My grandmother just passed. Although I had no say as to which funeral home would attend to her preparation and burial (we came from out of state), I am highly HIGHLY disappointed. Being a mortuary school graduate myself, I KNOW better than to rush a family that is grieving. The service was quick and informal. The priest was very personal and I appreciated his eulogy. However, while family was still reminiscing about grandma, we were being packed up. When we got to the cemetery, it was SO rushed I don’t even know why they put chairs out. Flowers, dirt, and grandma was put in the ground. I would never recommend such uncaring people to care for your loved ones. I did hear Mary say they are former insurance salesmen. Mary, if you are reading this, people are not a product. If you can’t get behind that (previous reviews show you can’t) please take your salesmen tactics to a different profession. You are, respectfully, giving the funeral business a bad name. Best of luck. Please Note: The only reason this is 2 star is because of the priest.

Worst experience ever, very unprofessional, when then got to the house to pick up my mothers body when she past they arrived in a beatup ordinary van, it was 2 suspicious looking men,all they said was Mary sent us, they could have been a little more professional and gave more details, when we finally got that straightened out, the brought in a gurnee to take the body, they couldnt figure out how to get her out of the bedroom, the men in my family that were present had to do it themselves, the men from this place threw my mothers body in the van like it was a sack of potatoes then proceed to haul out of the drive way making the tires screech, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
