I cannot express enough how wonderful the experience was working with Buck Ashcraft funeral home. My father passed away unexpectedly, and it was very difficult to process this and to also have to plan his funeral. Jim Pitts, the director, was amazing to work with. He was extremely compassionate and made me feel very comfortable during the whole process and explained everything thoroughly so that I was not overwhelmed. He took care of bringing my dad back from another city as well as making arrangements with the cemetery, the church and the police escorts. All we had to do was approve the details and pay. He also dealt with the drama of an uninvited guest that was threatening to come to the funeral. I didn't have to worry about any disruptions as I had faith in Jim to take care of it. The visitation was hosted by two of the sweetest employees, Irma and Elva. They did a wonderful job overseeing everything and helping with minor details and questions and stayed the entire time of the visitation (11 am - 9 pm). Everyone in the office was also very helpful and empathetic to our loss. I appreciated all their patience, the long hugs, and the overall professionalism from every single person there. Especially when dealing with a loss as devastating as ours was.

Dealing with the passing of our mother was difficult, but Jim Pitts and his staff handled everything so nicely and perfectly. They were extremely helpful, kind, compassionate, and very understanding. Everyone was amazing to work with. They even made sure the flowers at the mausoleum were in their place before the service began. The entire team at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home did their best to help us as much as possible. My family will be forever thankful for helping us during this very difficult time. The staff there really knows how to treat family and friends at the of their mourning.

Jim Pitts is exceptionally knowledgeable about his business. He makes valuable suggestions without being too aggressive or overbearing. He relates to everyone with care, kindness and understanding. Everyone on staff is so very courteous and always ready to provide assistance with any questions or problems.
