In our most recent experience, Sam Routsong went above and beyond to coordinate burial arrangements with a cemetery out of town; he communicated compassionately with our family each step of the way. I couldn’t recommend a better place to handle the final arrangements for both our Dad (23 1/2 years ago) and currently our Mom. Very professional, kind, compassionate employees. Routsong’s employees and staff take the pressure off of making decisions and helping to guide you through the entire process. Also, very kind and compassionate professionals that picked our mother up from her home where she wanted to be when she passed. She had lived there 65 years and Routsong’s gave us time to and say our goodbyes that early morning. I highly recommend working with Jennifer Barlow at Routsong’s. She truly helped especially when we had a couple little hiccups happen and she got everything worked out for us with no worries or concerns. I can’t recommend Routsong highly enough to care for your loved one after they pass. I am not one to write reviews, but my experience with Sam Routsong and the Routsong team was so extraordinary that I had to. Not only was Sam incredibly gentle, respectful, communicative, and empathic through every step of the process, he went well above and beyond to help and comfort my family. In particular, my Mom really wanted a handprint of my Dad. He tried with ink and we wanted a more full print. Sam eventually went out and purchased multiple materials and made several handprints to get the best version. This was a lot of extra effort and he did not charge us for any of this. The preparation of my Dad for viewing was excellent, the facility was perfect and beautiful for our service, and all of the staff we encountered were just amazing. They made one of the worst periods in our life just a bit easier. We felt truly cared for by Sam and the Routsong team, and in times like these, that was truly priceless for my family. We cannot thank them enough.
