Resthaven was the efficiency I needed with the kindness and consideration I also needed. They listened to my thoughts and helped me think through the decisions that needed to be made. And, they took care of everything and guided me through the service. I’m very grateful.

Had a great experience at Resthaven. Sheri Elkins offered us first class service. Her vast knowledge of how to enhance our loved one’s service by requesting the presence of the LFR Honor Guard and VFW meant so much to us. She was focused on our family’s needs during the entire process. Her attention to detail was second to none. She responded to our many requests in a timely and professional manner. We were so glad our family chose Resthaven.

DO NOT USE!!! We just got done using Resthaven and I would not recommend this funeral home to my worst enemy! They don’t deserve the 1 star I had to give to write this review. My sweet grandma passed away last week and they were the ones we chose to use because we have never had a problem before. But ever since the new management has come in, they are rude, extremely disrespectful, unprofessional, and had 0 sympathy towards the circumstances. All they wanted was our money… when it was time to discuss the services we informed them that there was some services we did not need and asked to not be charged for those services. They informed us that it was “Texas State Law” that we use these services and pay for them! We questioned it and asked when that law came into effect because we never used it on previous burials. She then said she would check with management and came back to tell us it was a “new” state law that we use these services and pay for them. We then called the Texas Funeral Commission and they informed us that was NOT a state law and we have more rights to our loved one then what they were willing to give us! So we set up a meeting to discuss this and during that meeting we told them we called the Texas Funeral Commission and that they (Resthaven) LIED to us so we would buy their services and all of a sudden it became a “misunderstanding” and they still wouldn’t work with us on anything! As we were talking to them the older lady kept looking at the lady standing right next to me with a smirky smile and the man in charge was SO rude! They were so disrespectful and did not care one bit what we as a grieving family was going through! There are very good funeral homes in this town but Resthaven is NOT one of them!!
