Where to begin. Our relationship with Jason Owens began when we moved here 12 years ago - right behind the funeral home. I made the joke that if anything ever happens to us we live in a great spot - hospital above us, rescue squad down below us and if (or I should say when) anything ever happened to one of us - we had Owens Funeral Home in our backyard. Over the years, Jason became a friend that are few and far between these days. There was not a time that he didn’t see my husband, Bo, struggling to do something that he didn’t stop to help him. Also, he would just take the time to stop and talk and Bo always made sure to tell me about their conversations. But Jason’s biggest act of human kindness came the day Bo was brought home on hospice - it was a cold, rainy, high-winds day when he observed the ambulance service almost turning him over in our yard. They were struggling to get him to the house when Jason pulled up and came to his rescue - literally. It was because of Jason helping lift him up on the porch and getting him out of that weather and into the house that told me all I ever needed to know about Jason Owens. Sadly, the day that I had prayed would not come so soon, did. Needless to say there was no question as to who was contacted to come and start Bo’s final journey out of our home. From there, it’s the treatment that I and my children received - we were treated not like a “customer”, but rather family. Jason and his whole staff were the epitome of what you want in a time of great duress and grief. The arrangements were handled just as we asked and when I say that Bo looked beyond amazing - I mean he was perfect - the most natural I could have ever imagined! The tears that I shed that day were those of joy - for one, to see him again; and secondly, to see him look so at peace. So, I’ve shared how this all began - and well, only God knows when it’s time for my journey here on earth to end - but I do know it will come full circle - and end where it all began - Owens Funeral Home. I have unfortunately had to bury both my parents and I used Owen's for both and I honestly can't say enough good about Jason. He is an honest, christian man and he will go above and beyond to make the horrible process go a little bit better. His quality of service is A+ and highly recommended. He is definitely one of a kind and was truly a blessing to me and my family.

Jason and his family are the best in the business. They are honest and treat everyone with compassion and like family. Definitely can’t say enough good things about them.
