After all the funeral homes I contacted, Omega Funeral Service met all our needs and requests. James was an amazing Funeral Director. He was patient and kind. He is amazing at his job. He remembered every detail and gave great advice and recommendations. We didn't have to worry about anything. Any questions we had, James was readily available. My Brother's Funeral was everything that he would've wanted if he was alive to see it. The Chapel was perfect. There was room to put all my brother,s memorabilia. The snack area was attached to the chapel. There's a big screen TV that's the perfect at the front to play a Funeral Video. I couldn't recommend Omega Funeral Service more.

Omega is wonderful, they go above and beyond. If you need a funeral home to care for a loved one, please consider them. I lost my dad in May, he was one of my best friends. I've never lost someone so important to me, let alone had to plan their care after death. When it came to choosing which funeral home to work with, I was overwhelmed. I went through the list from the hospital and wrote down review scores, prices, and notable best and worst reviews for each one. I narrowed down my choices and called them, making a note of how I felt about them. Omega immediately jumped to my top picks, the staff was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was so touched by how they interacted with me. Omega made me feel cared about and like I was making the right choice for my dad. They answered all of my questions, expressed condolences, and handled my concerns with grace and confidence. I expressed anxiety about making sure I got my dad back, as he'd be cremated, and they not only reassured me that it was an understandable concern, but they also walked me through their process of caring for the person from the moment they receive them to the moment their ashes are returned to the family, ensuring the person is who and where they should be each step of the way. They made me feel heard, understood, and not judged. They also offered a witness cremation service, which is an extra charge, but you get to see your loved one again and say goodbye, as well as see them loaded into the retort and you can even start the retort. I was a bit worried I'd feel worse rather than better seeing him again because it had been awful seeing him in the hospital after he'd passed and I wasn't sure about putting my family through that. However, I knew from research that many people find this service to be helpful in their grief and healing. I decided to go this route to quell my anxieties and more importantly, have a moment to say goodbye and get to have that last act of care for my dad by doing what he wanted after death. It was so beautiful. Dan, the funeral director who was with us for this service, explained everything and what we would see when we went in to say goodbye. He explained that my dad had been prepared and looked like he was sleeping. My dad looked perfect. It was such a relief, he looked so much more like himself than he did in the hospital and it was so healing to see him like that. Dan gave us as much time as we wanted to be with my dad, and then he walked me through the process once again to reassure me that I'd be getting my dad back at the end of everything, and he also let me press the button to start the retort. It was incredibly peaceful and rewarding, it felt like I got to take care of my dad one last time and I got such a meaningful moment with my closest family to say goodbye to him in a much nicer way. If you are ever in a position where you're considering doing a witness cremation, I highly recommend doing it. Bret was the funeral director I worked with primarily during the process, and he was absolutely wonderful. Kind, knowledgeable, present, and helpful. He was comforting and he was also funny. My dad would've loved him. Bret's sense of humor during the process made it so much easier and more comfortable for me to get through the process of the paperwork and handling everything. He was incredible. Dan was the funeral director that answered my questions on the phone when I'd called as well as handled the direct cremation service for myself and my family. He was also so very kind, warm, and caring. Every member of staff was so wonderful to me and my family and made the process so much easier to handle. They made it bearable to get through one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Since then, they've been present and receptive if I call with a question, Bret was extremely helpful and kind in helping me finish the obituary for my dad and getting it published on their website. I just continue to be so grateful for Omega and their care. I feel so fulfilled and pleased with choosing them. Thank you Omega.
