In response to the reviews from Tina T. and Kristopher Kitch and for public awareness: when an individual dies, I have a legal and ethical obligation to listen to the next of kin for the directions for final disposition, as prescribed by the laws of the state of Michigan. In this case, the two sons( per Michigan law) were the next of kin. The services that were chosen were not only what the next of kin wanted, but were also the wishes of the deceased. Unfortunately, in a situation where emotions are heightened, and people outside the family are not willing to accept the legal and moral hierarchy, feelings get hurt. I am sorry this happens, but I need to support the family.
