My 95 year old mother recently passed away. Oceanside Mortuary had been recommended to me which was a blessing since I came from out of state. Mary Ferwerda met with me and was incredibly compassionate in her conversation with me. She made sure I understood everything and was able to make thought-out decisions during a stressful time. I was impressed Mary had taken the time to read my mother's Health Care Directive so she knew in advance of my mother's wishes before we met. After our initial conversation, Mary kept me apprised of everything that was happening long distance. I am incredibly grateful for Mary and Oceanside Mortuary. They were exactly what I needed to feel good about the decisions I was making for my mother. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend Oceanside Mortuary for memorial services. They were compassionate and patient with my family during our planning process. We felt cared for and respected the entire time. Planning these events is not easy and it takes a lot of energy and effort but having Oceanside lessened the burden. I want to highlight Katie and Mary for guiding us through this process during this difficult time. Their professionalism and ability to make arrangements custom to my family’s needs will be something I will always be grateful for. A warm but somber thank you to the Oceanside staff.

Please don't use this place. When you are going through a death Rey as the owner or director should have no bias to choose one side of the family over another. The way he treated us was rude and disrespectful. Please do not use this place ! You will only find more turmoil .
