This is the 5th funeral I have had the honor of organizing. This time I lived 500 miles away. My 57 year old sister passed unexpectedly in her sleep. NewComer was recommended by her best friend and it was within walking distance for her only heir, a son. I have a different view of funerals/memorials than most. I make every effort to make sure everyone has an opportunity to grieve in a way most meaningful to them. Mindi was embalmed, NewComer made changes to her appearance in accordance to the wishes of her best friend. We had the flowers delivered to NewComer. NewComer found a phone number for us for the Church we wanted to use, [we tried for 2 weeks]. Some wanted memory lockets, pouches, etc. of Mindi's ashes and NewComer even accommodated the blending of Mindi's ashes with those of her partner so they could be scattered together. Next NewComer mailed the ashes to AZ so our daughter can spread them on a beach in Mexico, on her next trip. All of this happened in a timely manner. If it is important to you, then NewComer will bend over backwards to make it happen. NewComer understands the importance of grieving for our mental health. You cannot put a price on the service NewComer provides.

My younger sister passed away July 24th 2024 3 weeks now so I called about picking up her ashes they said she wasn't cremated yet. My Older Sister messaged them asked the same thing, Newcomers told her are sister was cremated a week ago. the lady is real rude not polite at all and gave me and my sister's the runaround. It's now Aug 8th 2024 and still waiting for my sisters ashes.

Everyone at Newcomer Funeral Home is so incredibly kind and caring. They are also very professional and willing to answer any question you might have regarding any of the services they offer. The facility itself is far from the dark, depressing image you might have of a funeral home. It's feels warm, gentle and comforting. I can't say enough good things about these people. They made a truly horrible experience bearable. They are all genuinely kind and caring, and it's clear that this is the type of people they really are and not a "face" they put on as part of their job. I will be forever grateful to the people at Newcomer Funeral Home here in Casper, WY.
