Outstanding service! I lost a dear friend whose remains was to be laid to rest in Nigeria. Mount Carmel funeral home handled the process of repatriation seamlessly. The cost was surprisingly very affordable. Ms. Leslie the administrator was very knowledgeable about the country specific process. Leslie was very compassionate while still being professional. Jaime Martinez and Christie the funeral directors did an excellent job preserving and restoring the body. Overall we were very impressed with the service they offered and will unreservedly recommend mount Carmel funeral home to others in our community.

Unlike several other funeral homes in El Paso, which seemed primarily motivated by financial gain and treated our loss as just another transaction, Mt Carmel Funeral Home demonstrated compassion, organization, reliability, effective communication, professionalism, and empathy. My experience: My mom passed away in February and I had to fly in town all the way from NYC, as well as a few other family members in other states. My sisters and I needed to arrange the funeral within a week’s notice, due to everyone’s availability. We visited several funeral homes and had the worst experiences from prices, being taken advantage of and receiving careless customer service in general. It wasn’t until we met with Mt Carmel that all our stress went away. They assured us they can make the funeral happen within the 4 days left we needed it. And they sure did. They went above and beyond. Excellent communication and overall very empathetic. It truly felt like we were being taken care of. Side note: we had a very special and non traditional funeral service. We had our mother’s viewing and service at a garden outdoors. Mt Carmel was pleased to assist us to make that happen as we had brought in an external venue to use for their service. They did not charge any additional fees either (like other funeral homes do if you don’t use their facility). Overall, in times of need, when seeking a stress-free and worry-free experience, I highly recommend Mt Carmel Funeral Home.

My father passed away in early January and it is very difficult to make calls and make arrangements while one is deeply grieving. I cannot begin to express the amount of gratitude and appreciation I have for Leslie, Sophia, Christy, Rolando and the rest of the staff at Mt Carmel. The amount of sympathy and care they provided my mother and my family was beyond measure. They took us in last minute when another funeral home failed to help and made a complicated matter very seamless and stress free. The sincerity and attention to detail they provided is something I will never forget. Every moment was planned out in a very thoughtful and tender way. Leslie was incredibly sensitive to my mother and myself and guided our every moment with a human touch rarely found in this world. The Rosary and Funeral services were lovely. Rolando was very compassionate towards the pall bearers and executed a flawless procession. The pain of losing a loved one makes it hard to focus and I don’t know how we would have managed without the staff at Mt Carmel, they held our hand through every moment and the services were wonderful. The facility is beautiful and peaceful and I highly highly recommend their services.
