There were many positive things about working with Lighthouse, however, I believe there are areas of improvement as well. We selected this funeral for our mother as she was under hospice care at our home in Gardena, so proximity was important as we hoped for a fairly switch process for picking her up upon passing. This was not the case, nor was the wait time accurately communicated. With young children in the home, it was very important to us that we were able to gauge this transition process and their miscommunication made it very hard. Their handling post-mortem seemed good. Their communication during the planning process was not the best, but manageable. Their process for hand-offs and coverage when someone is out was also challenging. As we approached the funeral date, we had questions about the services, her clothing delivery, etc. which I would have expected our primary contact person would have preemptively discussed with us, however we had to proactively reach out, leave messages, follow up, and finally was connected to someone able to assist. Their handling of our requests for special traditional dressing was handled with excellence and care! I cannot thank them enough for this. My mother looked so beautiful due to their team’s execution of our wishes. The venue is beautiful. The ability to have to the space all to ourselves for the viewing and funeral service is a plus. The staff assigned during the both services were extremely helpful and caring. Their AV equipment is challenging to work with. While I was given options for the video montage, I had to meet with the director several hours before our service to troubleshoot it would project properly and the audio came through as expected. This took several tries and ultimately the options offered were not used. We connected my laptop to the system and projected from there. As mentioned, while we had a favorable experience for some aspects of this process, I would hope Lighthouse strongly works to improve certain areas of their service delivery considering this is a very difficult and vulnerable period for most people.

Reggie Hall, a dear friend to my father, was the overseer of the services, repass, and transport to Riverside National Cemetery. His deep personal connection to my father was unmistakable, adding an extra layer of warmth and sincerity to the proceedings. Reggie's dedication and oversight ensured that everything went flawlessly, providing immense comfort to our family during this difficult time. Special thanks to their manager Jamie, whose kind and gentle spirit was a source of great solace. Jamie's willingness to accommodate last-minute changes with grace and efficiency was truly commendable. Her ability to manage the unexpected with such poise significantly eased our minds and allowed us to focus on honoring my father's memory. What truly sets Leslie, Reggie, and Jamie apart is their empathy and genuine concern for the families they serve. They went above and beyond to provide comfort and support during our time of grief, always available to answer questions and offer guidance. Their warmth and kindness were a balm to our sorrow, making a difficult time more bearable. Their commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of their work. Together, they created a beautiful and dignified service that honored my father's memory perfectly. Their ability to anticipate our needs and their tireless dedication ensured that everything proceeded flawlessly. In Leslie, Reggie, and Jamie, we found not just mortuary professionals, but compassionate allies and steadfast supporters. Their phenomenal service has left an indelible mark on our hearts, and we will forever be grateful for their remarkable efforts in giving my father the dignified farewell he deserved. I recommend lighthouse memorial & receptions as I was treated with love and respect 🙏 & also was satisfied with the package we chose ❤️ and the place is beautifully kept and spacious also like to give a special thanks to Leslie Saldivar for all her help & expertise in handling everything smoothly comfortable & almost like family ❤️ in this difficult time.
