The funeral director kicked me out of my own mother's funeral. Apparently, this was due to some sort of misunderstanding, which happens, but the problem is that they refused to talk about it so it could not be resolved. There was no incident or disruption. The director pulled me aside from a pleasant conversation with old friends who were close with my mother, told me that I had to leave, I asked why, he told me that they do not get involved in family disputes. Genuinely baffled, I asked what dispute they were clearly getting directly involved in by removing me without a conversation, and he told me that I had to leave. I left without making a fuss because it was clear that he was citing laws of private property over my need to grieve the death of my mother. Zero stars for diplomacy, fact finding, or mediation. Two stars because many close friends that I trust have had better encounters with the director and knew him on a first name basis. However, claiming "we don't get involved" when that is exactly what you are doing only makes a traumatic, major-life event more so, and becomes the most memorable aspect of said event. I hope that in another 20 years anyone still alive can laugh about how out of hand the behavior of this funeral director escalated. He wouldn't even let me retrieve my own coat! Maybe go elsewhere if you don't want to repeat this incident at your own traumatic life event.

My mother’s funeral was at your mentor location yesterday. I was not happy and would not recommend. First once the service was over and the priest was done the funeral director came out and said to resume visiting. Me and my siblings had not spoken. We mentioned this and he turned the light back on and we all spoke. The song we asked to be played for my mom was not played until we had to ask. But it was after only us siblings were there so it was kind of pointless at that time Coffee was provided but nothing else. I asked about water. It could have been a pitcher of ice water or bottles of water. Bottles of water were brought out but they were warm That should not have been something we needed to ask. People are going to be talking. They get thirsty. We did not need coffee. We needed cold water My mom did not look that good. We were all upset by her appearance. Think you could have done a better job. My dad passed away 21 days prior of my mom. I’ve been to his funeral in north Olmsted. They had ice water for us. And kept the pitcher filled all day So overall was not happy. I’m sorry my mom picked this place before she passed away
