Mrs Dotson is unprofessional, opinionated, and unpleasant. As if my mother's passing wasn't stressful enough the process of arranging her funeral was even more stressful. I had to contact Mrs Dotson several times in order to setup meeting times and or in regards to the process of things. I was sent edits of the obituary at 11:30PM requesting them back by 7:00AM the next morning for Mrs Dotson to not even review my edits and print the obituary as is (be mindful that this was a back and forth exchange over several days). The layout, pictures, and date of the funeral was incorrect. The limousines were 30-45 minutes late which caused us to be late for the viewing. 30-45 minutes into the viewing I had to go find someone, Mr Dotson, and ask him to turn the slideshow on. When asked by Mrs Dotson if everything was to my liking I provided her with the errors of the obituary in which she stated "well, there's going to be errors". The quality of services provided does not reflect the price in which we paid. After the funeral Mrs Dotson pocket dialed my father in which she carried on a conversation with a gentleman regarding the finances, employment, and character of my siblings and I. Also, an additional fee of $97.90 was charged to my account upon payment. After verifying with my bank provider I was advised that MD Dotson and Sons funeral home indeed charged an additional fee to my account without prior notice. I understand that the funeral and cremation industry is a business that profits from the loss of our lives ones and our emotions, please be aware of such. I would not recommend MD Dotson and Sons funeral home.

Dotson funeral home reuses funeral programs. Our family painstakingly created a very detailed and time consuming program. We have recently learned that Dotson is sharing this as their work as part of their funeral packages. Had we known we would be used in this manner, we would never have consented. It's disingenuous to charge customers to reuse something you never created. Buyer's beware.
