Our family experience with Langeland Family Funeral Homes in Kalamazoo, MI, during a difficult time was exceptional. I hope that I am able to articulate the positive experience our family had with Langland funeral home in the recent passing of our father. Katie was very knowledgeable and able to answer all questions while making arrangements. She was very professional in orchestrating the coordination of events and people that needed to come together. The entire staff were compassionate and showed sympathy and understanding during our time of bereavement. Our father was treated with dignity and respect during the transport from Kalamazoo to Muskegon, before and after the funeral.

If I could give zero stars I would. The lady Kari who works here is very unprofessional and rude. She was late getting to the funeral she was supposed to be directing, the picture video was delayed because of this. She tried to scam my grandma and uncle out of $350 staying that they had to pay this for the processional. The gentleman at the gravesite informed them that this is wrong and the this price is included in the funeral cost. When my uncle brought this to her attention and asked her to reread the signed contract she was very rude and told him that she would just give it back because she didn't want to argue with him. She then told everyone that they were not allowed to follow the hearse because the money was refunded, which it still has not been. She continually gave dirty looks and made snide comments. My family has used this funeral home since I can remember, we are a very large family and will never use their services again because of this lady. I highly suggest they look into her employment. Everyone else was very nice there. Unfortunately she completely ruined it.
