Special thanks to the outstanding employees of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Our family was made to feel welcome and important as we prepared for my mother’s service and burial. A huge thanks to Shannon for her sweet and caring assistance as she transitioned all from the Parlor to the Chapel, to the graveside tent. And also to our dear limo driver, for letting me ride shotgun on the way back in the rain, and then who handed me a lovely rosary for further comfort in the days to come. I highly recommend this longtime establishment to you and your loved ones for a very well coordinated ceremony at a time of solemn reflection and joyful celebration of life.

Nice, peaceful cemetery. Some mausoleums are really old, some are very ornate. I also enjoyed the Louisiana heritage trail marking interesting sites within the cemetery. The only downside is that the roads aren’t well-maintained in places and I had to be careful where walking or driving. There was also a ton of flooded areas that weren’t passable.

I called to make an appointment with an agent for pre-planning arrangements. I was greeted on arrival with courtesy, respect and very knowledgeable personnel. Cynthia D. and Matt went above and beyond to make sure I understood and got exactly what I wanted. Thank you for making it a pleasant and compassionate experience.
