You have been in business long enough so please advise why would a funeral home allow an executrix of a last will and testament (that has not been filed in probate) change what the family requested for the funeral service? And why would that home meet with such individuals without including the family? The family provided the funeral home a notarized Power of Attorney for Health Care , prepared by an attorney and signed by the deceased. The deceased had a prepaid burial and had provided instructions to the family . “The health care document stipulated that the health care agent is directed to carry out plans I have already made, or, if I have not done so, making decisions about my body or remains, including organ, tissue or whole whole body donation, autopsy, cremation, and burial. “ The prepaid funeral insurance directed plans that were to be carried out by the family, not the executor of the will and since the will had not be filled with the clerk the, executive should have had say regarding the funeral So again why would the funeral home allow such and not notify the family of changes

Butler is nothing short of Amazing. They helped me have the best home-going for my father, Tommy L Harris II and it was all that I could have asked for. They were accommodating and thoughtful from the very first call which made me select them for the services. As a black family, this was the first time we have ever buried a love one here and my family was amazed at the level of service and treatment. The officiant was even amazing. She put details about my father together so eloquently and was so professional. I just want to say, thank you so much to the staff of Butler Funeral Home. This was a hard time but you took a load off and I sincerely appreciate it. My entire family sings your praises.

I cannot say enough about the staff at Butler Funeral Home. They are incredibly organized, compassionate and honest. My Dad looked natural and his remains were handled very respectfully. The celebration of life video montage they made was excellent too. They organized everything from the obituary to the military funeral to the bagpiper and worked closely with our church. It’s been difficult to lose a parent and they understood that and made it as easy as possible on my entire family.
