I wanted to share a few things in regard to Kerr Brothers and the outstanding service received. Tom Morton is by far one of most professional and best individuals to work with at Kerr Brothers. Our family has used them for various funerals, and for the most recent death--he was patient with the family, empathic with specific needs to be met and we are very thankful for his services and time working with us. He was helpful during a difficult time, and was willing to meet, discuss, and guide us as many times as we needed to work through our issues. At the end of the day his customer service was unmatched, and he's the kind of person that keeps families loyal to a place like Kerr. Thank you for being understanding and helpful, and Tom deserves all the accolades we can possible give!

Ordered flowers for a friend to get after the services… which she did not receive. Called the flower company and then Kerr bros and the lady who answered was the rudest person to ever talk to. She transferred me to someone else who was also rude. How do you work in this business and have no compassion? The lady actually laughed at me because I was upset that I paid money and my friend didn’t get what I sent. Yes it flowers but it’s the principle. No compassion, apology .. absolute disgust Kerr bros.

This is a review for the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Rd. The place is beautiful. However the interaction I had with a friend of mine who was trying to plan an unexpected funeral for her mom was unpleasant. I suggest if you have any financial restraints to call around to ensure you are receiving the services you feel comfortable with. The person we consulted with at Kerr Brothers didn't seem to know what do to with someone who didn't have life insurance paying for the funeral. When asked if there were any costs that could be reduced he compared the high cost of a funeral to that of the increased cost of groceries. He did not offer any suggestions to save money and continued to push additional items even after they were declined several times. He was not able to offer any alternative solutions. The feeling we had about the interaction prompted my friend to seek an alternative funeral home, one that she felt had compassion for her and the situation and was able to provide her with the service that made her feel comfortable. Don't hesitate to change your plans to one that gives you peace, I think it made a huge difference in my friend's final goodbye to her mom.
