Without the consent of the family, John Lalumiere (the Managing Director at Keene-Brown Funeral Home) took it upon himself to submit paperwork to the Veterans Association for the grave marker of my father. Obviously he is unfamiliar with the rules and regulations of the cemeteries that he deals with as he left out information that the family was allowed to have engraved on the stone. Our family submitted paperwork to the Veterans Association with the CORRECT information, but we kept getting denials of our request for a veterans grave marker all the while unaware that this paperwork was submitted by John. Much to our surprise, the grave marker was installed and we discovered that the mistake was made. After some lengthy research, my sister approached John who finally admitted that he submitted the paperwork. John made repeated assurances that he will make it right and will have no cost to our family. My father's stone was initially installed at the end of last summer (2017). It is now May 2018 and our repeated phone messages to John have gone unanswered. It is complete disrespect to my family and mostly to my father's legacy to ignore our phone calls. In the end we have memories to keep our departed loves one with us. The etchings on a grave marker is such a personal and final reminder that this soul once had a value in life here on earth.

John and his team went above and beyond for our family. John was able to coordinate a military ceremony at the cemetery for our loved one. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. Thank from The Krajewski Family.
