Just had my daughter's services with this funeral home. After services Saturday 08/24/2024 there was no Burial because vault driver had an incident and I wasn't informed until after church services. Joe Ford didn't make any announcement during the services so friends and family could be notified. This affected me (the mother) even more. Just real unprofessional and tacky.

The service was terrible we had a memorial for my mom and they had someone else’s urn on display that passed away in the 50’s. Then we wanted pictures of her and all of her kids played on tv but they didn’t have it set up and when they finally got it up the tv was tiny and no music playing the obituaries came to us late. And when my cousin tried to express her concerns to The owner son he laughed in her face and ignored her. Now it’s been over a month and we still don’t have my mother’s urn when he told us we was go have it 2 days after the memorial. The memorial was on the 26th of June and it is now the 24th of July. And when my grandmother and my aunt tried to call to see what is going on with the urn he doesn’t answer the phone. Also my auntie friend said they messed up her nephew funeral. IF YOU WANT YOUR FAMILY MEMBER TO HAVE A GOOD FUNERAL OR MEMORIAL I SUGGEST YOU GO TO ANOTHER FUNERAL HOME. This funeral home will treat their memory like a game.

I met Joe Ford on the worst day of my life, at first he was attentive and answered every call, After giving him all the correct spellings of our children's names he still got it wrong..It was hard for us to pull into the parking lot so we went down the street to the WALGREENS FOR 8 MINS, WE WERE SUPPOSE TO SEE HIM BEFORE ANNNNNNY BODY ELSE, WE PULL UP EVERYBODY HAD ALREADY VIEWED HIM TOUCHED ALL ON HIM THE WHOLE NINE...UNPROFESSIONAL PERIOD..I DONT CARE IF I WAS 8 MINS LATE..NOBODY HAD A RITE TO SEE HIM BEFORE US..We cremated my husband which involved the urn and some keepsakes for our kids, it took 42 days from the time of his passing to even get the URN which did NOT INCLUDE THE QUOTE I PAID FOR TO BE ON THERE IT WAS BASIC WITH NAME D.O.B ND D.O.D. I called several times had to have insurance company call for me just to finally get that, then Justin Ford tried to smile it off when asked what happened to the quote, was told the Urn could only hold 30 characters, I stated that wasn't what his father told me when I was making the arrangements he then stated I don't think he really know..ARE YOU SERIOUS RITE NOW HE WOULDNT KNOW..IM STILL WAITING ON OUR KIDS KEEPSAKES, THEY DONT ANSWER THE PHONE ON NANE NUMBER, I EVEN CALLED EDMUND FORD AND SOME PEOPLE THAT HAVE WORKED FOR BOTH FORD FUNERAL HOMES TO GET THEM TO ANSWER MY CALL AND GET MY THINGS SO THAT ME AND OUR CHILDREN COULD HAVE CLOSURE, HE PASSED 6/21/24...I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN A RESPONSE..U GO TO THE FUNERAL HOME ITS LOCKED UP(UNLIKE OTHERS THAT HAVE PEOPLE THERE EVEN IF ITS NOT THE OWNER) U CAN GET ON THE PARKING LOT BUT U HAVE TO BEAT ON THE DOOR JUST TO GET A OLDER SLOW WALKING GENTLEMAN TO SAY O HE'S NOT HERE WOULD U LIKE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE...SIR ARE U EVEN SURE YOU CAN REMEMBER IT IF I TOLD YOU...THE ONLY REASON WE DID NOT GO TO EDMUND FORD WAS BECAUSE MY HUSBAND AND HIS FAMILY HAVE KNOWN THEM PERSONALLY FOR SOOOOO LONG AND HE DID ARRANGEMENTS FROM THE GRANDPARENTS TO THE AUNTS AND COUSINS DOWN TO HIS BABY SISTER, AND IN MY HUSBAND'S LAST DAYS HE DIDNT WANT HIM TO SEE OR REMEMBER HIM THAT WAY, BUT I SHOULD HAVE GONE WITH HIM ANYWAY, EDMUND WOULD HAVE HANDLE HIM WITH A LOT MORE CARE THAN JOE.. AND IF IT TAKES FOREVER IM GETTING MY KEEPSAKES IF I HAVE TO CRAVE OUT TIME EVERYDAY..I PAID FOR THEM AND THEIR MINE..BUT I WOULDNT RECOMMEND JOE FORD FUNERAL HOME ON WINCHESTER ACROSS FROM LITS IN WHITEHAVEN TO NOOOOOOOOOO BODY..
