Words cannot express how grateful I am for Jeter Funeral Home. Mr. Jeter and his entire staff were so accommodating, compassionate and patient with me and our family. The entire process was easy, and we needed that during such a difficult time. We can't recommend Jeter Funeral Home enough. Everything was perfect and they handled all the military paperwork and the entire process of getting the military honors. Thank you Greg Jeter and staff for your kindness and compassion during the loss of my daddy.

Funeral home is an absolute disgrace. No tissues for the visitation or funeral ANYWHERE. No funeral director to help with services. They did not come out during the visitation to let the guests know it would be ending,m. Instead, they FLASHED THE LIGHTS at us, like we were at a a junior high dance. The day of the funeral, the speaker system stopped working, and they proceeded to leave us in silence for a good five to ten minutes without a word. The dismissal of the guests to the procession was messy, unorganized, and chaotic. They almost left half the family at the funeral home when going to the procession, detoured us in a gas station parking lot, and proceeded to bury my brother in front of us because they had another service to get to. Disgusting. The owner was short and flippant with my mother at times. No water or coffee room for guests. The programs were printed wrong and did not match the obituary online. Overcharged for death certificates, including an additional fee for getting those. They also did not show my mother a list of casket prices beforehand. Do not do use them for your loved ones. They overcharge and underwhelm.

Absolutely disgraceful. From the beginning of planning the funeral for my son to the end I have never witnessed such unprofessionalism and ineptitude. To start, I was not given a price list for caskets or burial containers as required by law. I was overcharged for death certificates and when I asked I was told that's just how they do the bookkeeping. Who knows what other excessive charges were added in. No kleenexes were supplied anywhere in the building including in the chapel. No water available either. The night of visitation, instead of coming in and saying it was time to close and end it, the lights were turned off on us. I received absolutely no help in writing the program for the service, I had no idea what should be included in it. The day of the service, the speaker system stopped playing one of the songs I chose for my son and we sat waiting until they completely restarted the music. The processional out of the chapel was chaotic and uncoordinated, my daughters were almost left out of the procession. To top it all off, we paid over $1400 for an escort to Rosewood in Humble and the escort took us through a convenience store parking lot OVER SPEED BUMPS. I plan to file a grievance with the Texas Funeral Commission. Unprofessionalism and over charging people while they are grieving is completely UNACCEPTABLE. If I hadn't had to make an agreement with my ex-husband to use this funeral home in order to bury my son's body at Rosewood where all my family is buried I would not have. Rosewood has always been my families choice going all the way back to 1938 and I have never had an issue with them. Please do your research and compare prices if you are able. Taking advantage of grieving families is the lowest of the low.
