My mother was buried here a little over a year ago and in all this time the team at Fairview/Horis A. Ward have failed to have her gravestone placed and the grass restored. After countless calls and failed promises I will be calling corporate and letting them know what's going on and getting my families hard earned money back. I've seen other reviews on here complaining about the same things yet it still seems to be a problem there. I'm not sure who put Paula in charge but it seems she can't keep things running smoothly to ensure the closure for families is taken care of in a timely manner. They were certainly timely with us up until we paid and the service was over then its been just dodged calls and excuses. Paula seems to never be there and when you do get to speak with her she gives excuses and asks for grace. I hope other people see this review and make smarter decisions of where they want to be laid to rest because you'll be forgotten about at Fairview.

If I could leave zero stars I would. One star is being generous. My grandmother died in December of 2023 and had her final arrangements already paid for. It is now mid July 2024 and we are still waiting for things to be completed. First, it took over 2 months for the funeral home to get the death certificates that had already been paid for. The director, David, stopped returning calls and emails. It finally took multiple phone calls by my mom and myself to the coroner and hospital and even then, they weren't available when my mother was told to pick them up. She had to wait for the funeral home staff to drive to the courthouse to retrieve them. Additionally, my grandmother has a simple headstone with her year of birth and what should have been her year of death. Seven months after her death and the year plate saying 2023 has still not been added. My mother checked on this a few months ago and was told it would be added that day. She visited the grave site over 4th of July weekend to find still no death year plate. She emailed with a lady, Ann, I believe who told her it takes 2-3 months for those plates to come in. Why? Do they not anticipate people to die each year to go ahead and have a few on hand? But let's not forget my grandmother died in December 2023 and everything was paid for. So they should have ordered that name plate then and added it by early spring at the absolute latest. But nope, still to this day in mid July, no death year plate has been added. This business has absolutely no respect for grieving families. If they cared in any capacity, they wouldn't make final arrangements such a headache. Once they have their money, they move on. Such an awful way to do business and take advantage of families in their moments of grief. I'm sure they will try and reply to this review like they have other bad reviews and ask me to contact them to make it right. Here's an idea, how about making it right by following up on the multiple emails and calls my family has already made since Dec 2023?!?

Would never use this place again. Still waiting after 7 months for them to put just the year on my mom's headstone. Everything else was already in place. Will not return calls. After they take your money it doesn't matter to them. After working with Cornell.Robinson, he manage to get the year put down. Thank you.
