If I could give this company zero stars I would. My husband passed on September 13, 2024. I had spoken to Matt on Sept 12, 2024, and he was going to get back with me. Something told me I needed to complete arrangements for my husband, even though we never know when someone is going pass. Anyway, I went online and completed the information needed, and paid for the cremation. Little did I know my husband would pass 6 hours later. The transport person was so amazing, as was the hospice nurse. I met with Matt a few hours after my husband passed to finalize the cremation, and was told by Matt "By law, I have to tell you 10 business days for the cremation to be complete, but it will be less and we will call you". I signed the papers, and went on my way. I waited the 10 business days and heard NOTHING from Matt or ANY ONE from the Cremation Center OR Hooper Funeral Home (apparently, Matt works for both and uses Hooper Funeral Home for the cremation, of which I was never informed of ANY of this, but when Matt returned my original phone call, the number came up Hooper Funeral). I called Matt and asked about my husband's ashes. He hemmed and hawed a few seconds and asked if I wanted to pick up his remains from Inverness or the Center. I told him the Center, as I didn't know why he mentioned Inverness. Anyway, we had had a hurricane (Helene) on Sept 26, 2024 that created devastation in our town. He said that he didn't think he could get to the Center on that day (Friday, Sept 27, 2024) and I said I couldn't either due to the storm damage so he said he would call me on Monday, Sept 30, 2024 at 9 AM to make sure we could meet at 10 AM. Fast forward to Monday. I waited for the phone call, which didn't come until almost 9:30 AM. I said I would be there at the appointed time. When I arrived, I went inside and waited about 2 minutes before Matt came out and asked if I was Mrs. whoever he had an appointment with (besides me). I told him no, I was there to pick up my husband's ashes. I asked him when my husband had been cremated, and he said the 18th (here it is the 30th) and then he started with the excuses that it was human error, someone "forgot to let them know" blah blah blah. How in the HELL do you "forget" someone has been cremated? He may have only been a "body" to you and your staff, but he was MY HUSBAND, a FATHER, a BROTHER, a SON, an UNCLE, a GRANDFATHER/GREAT GRANDFATHER, my BEST FRIEND, and he was LOVED very much. It is devastating to know that I entrusted YOU and YOUR FACILITY to not only be professional, but caring as well and you were NEITHER one of those. To say I was angry doesn't even cover what I was feeling. I then asked about a flag for my husband since he was in the military, and the funeral home or cremation center are the ones who usually order the flags (yes they knew he was in the military because that is one of the questions on the form when it is filled out, and he had a flag draped over him when they were transporting his body) and Matt said "Oh, you want a flag?" I said yes, as he was in the military. Matt said he would order one since he didn't have one in his office and would contact me "next week". It has been 2 weeks since that conversation, and NO CALL yet. In a business where communication is KEY, apparently, it isn't important to Matt. So, me personally, I would NOT recommend this company, NOR MATT or ANY company he is associated with for handling this delicate, most important time in your (and your loved one's) life

Matt & the team at Hooper Inverness helped me overcome a delicate situation with my parents pre-funeral arrangement contract which was cancelled by a third party. Dad & mom are 99 & 98 years old and they bought this contract years ago.
