Whitcomb's has assisted our family with arrangements for many of our family members for over 50 years. They are professional and very supportive throughout the entire process.

The staff did an amazing job throughout the whole process. They were polite, caring and accommodating. Every detail was attended to and we felt extremely comfortable and confident in the manner in which things were handled. It made a difficult time for our family so much easier and we're grateful for that.

Stay away. They are predatory. As executor of my Mom's estate I had to deal with these folks. They were given notice and the opportunity to file their debt with the court, which they didn't do. Instead they began to threaten and verbally abuse me and my attorney. Less than a week after my Mom's estate was closed the folks at Hooker & Whitcomb began calling me, the law firm that helped me handle the estate, and my brother. They were threatening, verbally abusive, and incredibly hostile. Despite having their chance to formally declare the debt to the court, and the estate being closed, they've threatened legal action against me personally and have indicated, after I told them there was nothing left to pay them, they will be taking legal action against me. When told by both my lawyer and myself that the executor cannot be held personally liable for the debts of the estate they indicated that they didn't care and would be moving forward anyway. Whether these are just threats intended to scare me or not, I'm hopeful that by sharing this that others won't find themselves in the same position with these folks. I wish that there had been money to cover all the expenses associated with the estate, but there wasn't. I too am out a significant amount of money, far more than Hooker & Whitcomb were, from administrating the estate. It's an unfortunate situation all around. But these folks and their behavior is not only unprofessional, but out of line. If nothing else hopefully my experience can save others from having to go through the same thing.
